In production automation, imaging plays an important role in identification and position identification.

Inline monitoring

Where, up to now, visual or dimensional inspections were not done, an inline inspection can be activated using imaging despite higher cycle rates, unfavourable general conditions and poor access between consecutive process steps. This not only leads to better data on the process, but also detects defective parts at the place of origin.

Product liability

In order to eliminate claims due to product liability, a tracing of the inspection results and their allocation to the questionable components must be able to be done. This can be guaranteed through the use of imaging together with the archiving of the inspection results.
