The main part of the current imaging tasks is in the area of quality control with the application focus on surface inspection, completeness check and measurement technology.

100-percent inspection

One hundred percent inspection is more and more required today in order to record even sporadically occurring errors. The use of employees for this is normally uneconomical and afflicted by errors. Using an imaging system in the quality assurance means that there is less vulnerability to:

lack of concentration
fatigue
acclimatisation to insidious quality deterioration

Product liability

In order to eliminate claims due to product liability, a tracing of the inspection results and their allocation to the questionable components must be able to be done. This can be guaranteed through the use of imaging together with the archiving of the inspection results.
